Welcome

Donald L. EdwardsWe appreciate your visiting the Military Family Support Trust (MFST) (formerly the Military Officers' Benevolent Corporation or MOBC) Home Page. We are a tax exempt, 501(c)(3), charitable organization of military officers, NCOs, and federal employees working together to help high school seniors obtain college scholarships and to meet the critical unexpected financial needs of our eligibility group. The organization's resources are limited, but our motto of "…caring, sharing, and serving…" says everything about our charitable philosophy. We hope you will appreciate our efforts and apply for our scholarships, or inquire about the available financial assistance possibilities.

Of course, contributions are always welcome. Without them none of this work could be accomplished. We are thankful for each of you who have generously supported our past endeavors, and we are not bashful about seeking new funding. If you'd like to help, please download, complete and mail the donor form to our offices. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

  Sincerely,
  Donald L. Edwards
  President

  Special Happenings

The Military Family Support Trust (MFST) continues to award 12 high school scholarships annually that ensures 48 students could be in college at any one time.  The MFST has increased it's total amount committed to high school scholarships from $60,000 to $76,000 annually.

The MFST has created a new internal program for establishing Charter Membership in the VA Homeless Women Veterans' Program.  Singular one time donations or cumulative individual or organizational donations of $5,000 qualify the donor in becoming a founding Charter Member.  The MFST provides an annual grant to the program to cover expenses for these homeless women not provided for by the VA.  These expenses include rent deposits and security deposits, utility deposits, and child care for working women.  One hundred percent of the MFST annual donation to the program goes to the homeless women, there are NO pass-through charges.  There is still an opportunity to become a Charter Member !
